Meridian State Park was opened to the public in 1935 and has all the weathered charm of a grand old outdoors. This location is both a blessing and a curse. Take Highway 22 south to the park entrance. Grand Haven State Park is trapped between Lake Michigan, private houses, and the channel that empties the Grand River into Lake Michigan.
